About a year out from when many of us expect the PS5 to launch, we may have our best guess yet as to what the PS5 controller<\/a>, the DualShock 5 for lack of a catchier name, will look and function like. And, it\u2019s seemingly not all that different from the DualShock 4. That\u2019s not really such a bad thing though, considering the DualShock 4 is PlayStation\u2019s best controller yet.\n<\/p>\n

So far, we have official descriptions from Wired<\/a>, who went hands-on with a prototype of the officially unnamed controller, as well as recent patents that, while not a guarantee of the final design, are likely close to the real thing when compared to those descriptions. There are some notable alleged changes, including one that seems innocuous at first but could have some big ramifications, but it\u2019s clear that, should all this prove to be true, Sony isn\u2019t looking to break what\u2019s already fixed in most regards.\n<\/p>\n
