At <a href=\"http:\/\/redbubble.com\/\">Redbubble<\/a> we get feedback on whats working and whats frustrating users. We use this feedback to better prioritize and understand whats important to our\u00a0users.<\/p>\n<figure><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.taterboy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/12AdUib7xiLzvE5axO112WNaw.png?w=900\"><figcaption>Reviews are automatically shared with the team via\u00a0slack.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ratings and reviews also <strong>help user<\/strong> <strong>make decisions<\/strong> about the quality of an app before deciding to download.<\/p>\n<h3>What We Learnt By Using In-app\u00a0Reviews<\/h3>\n<p>After adopting ratings &#038; reviews in iOS 10.3 we saw three fundamental changes in user behaviour;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a dramatic <strong>increase in the volume of ratings &#038;\u00a0reviews<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>an <strong>increase in our star rating<\/strong>\u00a0(48%?)<\/li>\n<li><strong>improved install conversion<\/strong> from AppStore to App Units (66%\u00a0??).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>More Reviews\u00a0?<\/h4>\n<p>By prompting users after 30 minutes we got a significant lift in the number of reviews &#038; ratings. This didn\u2019t change the distribution of ratings users provided with reviews, this continued to hold at 3.3\u00a0stars.<\/p>\n<figure><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.taterboy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/12ASXC7vqUMLAy7ya_qkhj_nw.jpeg?w=900\"><figcaption>Volume &#038; rating of reviews for the Redbubble App<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4>A Better Rating\u00a0?<\/h4>\n<p>When users rated the app (no review) we saw a shift from the previous 3.3 star average to 4.7\u00a0stars.<\/p>\n<p>After 30 days of releasing we held a 5 star rating in the United States and 4.7 star average across all other territories.<\/p>\n<figure><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.taterboy.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/12AeSN_p7VAmDq6NVuvMCVycA.png?w=900\"><figcaption>Redbubble\u2019s current rating for all versions in the United\u00a0States<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4>More Installs\u00a0???<\/h4>\n<p>How did going from 3 to 5 stars impact downloads?
