Epic Games revealed its Battle Breakers<\/a>\u00a0tactical role-playing mobile and PC game today during the Google Play event at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.<\/p>\n

Powered by Epic\u2019s Unreal Engine 4, the free-to-play title is a fantasy sci-fi cartoon adventure. It\u2019s one of the new titles in Epic\u2019s self-publishing strategy, and it is one of six new games coming from Epic, said Donald Mustard, creative director at Epic Games in an interview with GamesBeat.<\/p>\n

Battle Breakers lets you recruit and build a dream team from hundreds of unique heroes and battle monsters. It features cross-platform play across mobile devices and PC.<\/p>\n

Battle Breakers is available now in limited soft launch in the Philippines, and will be available worldwide on Android and iOS devices, as well as PC, later this year. Android players can pre-register starting today and receive an exclusive in-game Hero by visiting\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis started with\u00a0a little team within Epic that had a core idea for a cool gameplay loop we never saw before,\u201d Mustard said. \u201cThe team developed that loop and added\u00a0cool role-playing game meta mechanics. It\u2019s got a 1980s saturday morning cartoon intro that brings you into this awesome world.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cYour world is at peace. Monsters\u00a0attack. You have to set free all the heroes and monsters that are trapped by a Crystal Overlord and take back the planet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Battle Breakers lets you recruit hundreds of unique heroes and create dream teams of ninjas, knights, robots, and talking dinosaurs. You can battle monsters from space that have infested every corner of your world, including ice sheets, lava fields, ancient forests, and sheer mountains.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll have to master the elements and defeat your enemies with strategy, smash crystals to unlock hidden treasures, and power up your hero squads to take back the Kingdom, one break at a time<\/p>\n

A playable version of Battle Breakers will be on display this week in the Epic Games GDC booth. Additionally, Epic Games will host its own \u201cState of Unreal\u201d keynote presentation on Wednesday, March 1 at 10 am in Moscone West, Room 3001.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
