IFTTT launched a new channel today to give its users the ability to automate actions based on activity on livestreaming website Twitch.<\/p>\n

At launch,\u00a015 pre-made applets available on the Twitch IFTTT channel<\/a>.\u00a0Custom Twitch integrations can also be created.<\/p>\n

Pre-made applets\u00a0allow gaming fans to do things\u00a0like make\u00a0Philips Hue or LIFX light bulb turn\u00a0purple when a\u00a0favorite Twitch channel goes live or automatically post on Facebook to alert followers when\u00a0you start livestreaming game play on Twitch.\u00a0Other applets can\u00a0compile new followers into a Google spreadsheet or automatically send top videos to Slack.<\/p>\n

IFTTT connections can\u00a0integrate actions between more than 300 different devices and services, from social media to intelligent\u00a0assistants like\u00a0Google Assistant and Alexa, or\u00a0devices like Fitbit and connected cars.<\/p>\n

After IFTTT replaced recipes with applets<\/a> last fall, users can now\u00a0choose to\u00a0bundle multiple commands or actions together.<\/p>\n

Twitch comes to IFTTT following\u00a0a slew of changes was\u00a0made to the livestreaming platform\u00a0in recent months. Last September, Twitch Prime (Twitch is owned by Amazon) launched to give users ad-free content and free games, and last December, Twitch opened to non-gamer video content<\/a> for the first time.<\/p>\n
