New olympic exciting week, new UX digest. Some interesting readings from this week.
Beginner UX mistakes by Jack Strachan is very interesting, because it is not always your mistakes you should learn from :-) And nobody has to be perfect.
Doing the UX is a great article if you have to explain to your parents or grandparents what you do in life after you became UX designer.
In the User experience of a blockchain there are some general rules about designing for blockchain. The topic of distributed trust and designing the sense of trust is very exciting. I once was very impressed with this TED talk about how Airbnb designs for trust, so these are some interesting findings to consider.
In the article “When good design goes bad” the author reminds that UX is not only about “doing pretty UI”, but about the users fulfilling their goals and tasks. So the minimalism rocks.
The finding of the week were several cool podcasts. Podcasts are very good way to shorten the time during commute. As I am not the fan of audio books, which make me fall asleep, I listen to podcasts during my commuting. The podcast of the week is UX blog podcast where you can listen to some interesting interviews and new findings. By the way, the natives podcast app does not work on my iPhone at all, which seems to be a common problem :-( So the alternative is overcast app which works perfectly with all common podcasts.
