Introducing ÐWorld — trade the Earth

DWorld is a game centered around owning and trading parts of the Earth. We have divided the entire world map into individual squares, called plots. In DWorld, you can claim your place and customize it to your heart’s content.
You can own the Big Ben, the White House, the Burj Khalifa, or any other place on Earth you desire. The game has been live for a few days, and our players have already claimed over 1,200 plots.

Plots can be traded between players on the open marketplace. A buyout system is in place to keep the market liquid: all plots can be bought out by another user, for a price. They will become the new owner, and the previous owner will profit. The price will automatically increase on each buyout.
However, that is not all. DWorld has the unique feature that all plots around the sold plot will profit as well. They share 5% of the buyout price, on top of receiving a flat 0.00625 ETH each. For example, if the plot containing the Big Ben sells for 3 ETH, all surrounding plots will generate 0.025 ETH in dividends. This mechanic, though simple, gives rise to very interesting market mechanics.
Scarcity
To drive value of plots and promote scarcity, the price of a new plot claim depends on the popularity of the area. Similar to the buyout mechanic, a new plot claim pays dividends to each plot it directly touches. If you are the first to claim a landmark, and people buy all eight plots surrounding you, you receive a total of 0.05 ETH!
The Ethereum smart contract
Under the hood, each plot in DWorld is represented by a “deed,” following the ERC-721 standard. This is an Ethereum protocol standard similar to ERC-20 for tokens. However, where ERC-20 is designed to track ownership amounts of a single token, ERC-721 is designed to track ownership of unique items.
As DWorld implements this standard, it is easy for other contracts to interface with us, and we are compatible with any wallet, contract or decentralized exchange implementing ERC-721. This allows you to trade DWorld plots outside of the main DWorld marketplace, or to write your own smart contract automatically managing your plots.
