In my experience tunnel vision in SCRUM is a real thing.

In my experience tunnel vision in SCRUM is a real thing. I view SCRUM done as described in #1 as a key component of feature factories.

“What features can we get done until the next demo in 2 weeks?”

Naturally you want to have something to show. A tangible feature preferably that internally justifies the money spent on product development. The main driver for doing stuff becomes to show cool stuff internally rather than deliver valuable experiences to the end user.

In this setup, there not enough time for thinking and reflection since the sprint conveyor belt keeps on turning. The reflection done in retrospectives are often concerned with the speed of the conveyor belt rather than the context surrounding it.
