At present, no rx the increasing importance of smartphones in our daily life has made a lot of companies focus themselves on improving the user experience to stand out and make a successful application. User-centered design is the best way to achieve this: a process to follow while designing your apps that makes the satisfaction of the client a priority.
As most of you already know, wireframing (or prototyping) is one of the most important phases in user-centered design. These are the best android apps to create mobile prototypes whether you prefer designing on paper or digitally:
Proto.io
Proto.io isn’t exactly a new tool, it has been around for years and it has become one of the most popular wireframing tools in the industry. Although the main interface is still the web, there is also a mobile application to preview your designs on your phone or tablet.
Pros: Easy to use. The web version is a very powerful tool.
Cons: The app is just a preview tool. Free plan is limited to working on one project. Paid plans are expensive.
Price: Free / 29$ per month or more depending on the plan.
Prott?—?Rapid Prototyping Tool
Prott works in a very similar way to Proto.io, the web being the main tool to create your designs. The principal difference in the mobile application is that Prott lets you edit your projects adding images taken from your own phone and creating links between those “screens”.
Pros: You can use just the app to create prototypes drawing your interface on paper and taking photos. It also allows you to preview the projects you have created on your computer via www.prottapp.com.
Cons: Just like Proto.io, the free plan only allows working on one project.

Mockup.io Prototype Simulator
Mockup.io is a free tool for prototyping that focuses on creating wireframes by adding your own mock-ups (so you can design on paper if you prefer) and creating links between them. You can also import your app icon and generate preview images with how your app would look like on Google Play… etc
Pros: The mobile application has almost the same functionality as the website.
Cons: It just creates the prototypes, you need the images first.
Price: Completely free
Marvel?—?Design and build Apps
Another popular tool in the world of UX. Marvel allows you to create your prototypes on its web interface by importing images but its mobile application allows you to draw the interface directly on your screen. There’s also a social functionality to share your projects with the community.
Pros: You can import the images or draw your own prototype.
Cons: Free plan is limited to 2 projects.
Price: Free / 12$ per month or more depending on the plan.
It’s up to you
There are a lot of applications available on Google Play aimed to UX prototyping but these are the ones that seemed more interesting and complete to me. You can use any of these applications as all of them are useful for their purpose, it depends on your wants and needs.
