Plesk VPS Hosting For Better Website Outcomes

Plesk VPS Hosting For Better Website Outcomes Plesk VPS Hosting For Better Website Outcomes Suzanne Scacca 2019-03-28T10:30:39+01:002019-03-29T11:05:55+00:00 (This is a sponsored article.) In early discussions you have with clients about the website you’re tasked with designing, does the topic of web hosting ever come up? My guess is that it’s not something your clients give much thought to, waving it away with: “Just give me the cheapest, no-frills hosting.” I get why they’d think that way. For starters, they’re paying you a large sum of money to design the site. Of course, they’re going to look to other areas to offset those costs. Because server technology is rarely understood by the people who own websites, it’s easy for them to mistakenly think they can save money there. Here’s the problem though: As a website grows in authority and expands its reach, security and performance problems will arise if the hosting Read the full article…

You may have forgotten about Twitch Prime, but the company is adding an interesting new perk for Nintendo Switch owners. The company is giving out up to one year of Nintendo Switch Online, the subscription service that lets you play online multiplayer games and access NES games. If you’re an Amazon Prime or Prime Video subscriber, you automatically become a Twitch Prime member once you link your accounts together — Amazon owns Twitch. Twitch Prime gives you access to free loot, such as in-game skins for Apex Legends or Call of Duty Black Ops 4, as well as free (mostly indie) games. As part of Twitch Prime, you can also subscribe to a Twitch channel for free — the streamer still gets compensated. Twitch Prime also gives your more options to customize your chat experience. Drake invests in esports betting startup Players’ Lounge

Drake’s latest collaboration isn’t with Kanye or Kendrick, it’s with Marissa Mayer. The rap superstar has joined a bevy of Silicon Valley investors, including Strauss Zelnick, Comcast, Macro Ventures, Canaan, RRE, Courtside and Marissa Mayer, to fund Players’ Lounge, an esports startup looking to pit gamers against each other in their favorite titles with some friendly wagers on the line. The startup has just announced that it closed $3 million in funding. The company, which has been around for five years, got its start as an esports startup looking to organize real-life matches at bars in New York City to play FIFA. That’s obviously not the most scalable business of all time, but last year after joining Y Combinator, the company really dove into a new model that looked to create an online hub for gamers to battle each other in titles of their choosing, with money on the line. Paul Allen’s immersive Holodome gets interactive with new zombie-hunting game that founder tested

The new immersive reality game “Dome of the Dead” was developed for Vulcan and Holodome by Seattle-based VR studio Endeavor One. (Vulcan Image) In the months since Vulcan, Inc., placed its Holodome inside Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture, 38,000 people have stepped into the 360-degree immersive reality experience. Now, almost a year later, Paul Allen’s company is unveiling an interactive twist that the late Microsoft co-founder got a glimpse of shortly before he passed away. “Dome of the Dead: Escape the Bayou” takes Holodome beyond the passive nature of its previous content offerings and allows users to take up arms against advancing zombies. The first-person-shooter game — which will be available to the public starting Friday at MoPOP — lets up to four players experience the high-tech surround video and sound inside Vulcan’s creation, without the use of a headset. The objective was to create something that appealed to a Read the full article…

Security researcher pleads guilty to hacking into Microsoft and Nintendo

A 24-year-old security researcher narrowly avoided prison today, after admitting to hacking into Microsoft and Nintendo servers and stealing confidential information. Zammis Clark, known online as Slipstream or Raylee, was charged on multiple counts of computer misuse offenses in a London Crown Court on Thursday, and pleaded guilty to hacking into Microsoft and Nintendo networks. Prosecutors revealed that Clark had gained access to a Microsoft server on January 24th, 2017 using an internal username and password, and then uploaded a web shell to remotely access Microsoft’s network freely for at least three weeks. Clark then uploaded multiple shells which allowed him to search through Microsoft’s network, upload files, and download data. I… Read the full article…

Twitch Prime now comes with a free year of Nintendo Switch Online service

Twitch has announced its latest benefit for its Twitch Prime subscribers: a free year of Nintendo Switch Online service, which usually costs $19.99. The streaming site is giving out the free service in a two-stage process: first, subscribers will be able to claim a free three-month membership, and after 60 days, they’ll be able to come back to get the other nine months (presumably to stop people from signing up for a single month, claiming the free year, and bailing.) The deal is open to both new and existing Switch Online subscribers — current users will get the extra months added to their existing plan. Watch the first colorful, chaos-filled trailer for Borderlands 3

Nearly a decade after the original Borderlands, Gearbox Software has announced a third main installment in the series — alongside a trailer that features a few familiar characters. There’s very little hard detail about its plot, features, or release date, but this marks the first new, numbered game since 2012, and we’ll supposedly learn more about it on April 3rd. The Borderlands 3 trailer seems to promise the same thing as Borderlands, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. It looks like a colorful shooter for up to four players, with a distinctive cartoonish style and endless (“over one billion,” up from the original game’s literally world record-holding 17.75 million) varieties of procedurally generated firearms. Yesterday, a… Read the full article…

Build terrain in Houdini 17

In Houdini 17, SideFX introduced some new tools and enhanced others in order to widen the range of opportunities for artists creating fully procedural terrains or adding details to real-world based models. For example, the enhanced Erode node simulates erosion in a more scientifically plausible way and has many more controls than before. The main parameters of HeightField nodes can now be masked and there is an instant paint button that automatically sets up the appropriate node(s) for painting. Taking a scientific approach to our CG landscapes will always help us to achieve better results, so that’s why we’re not simply running through the new terrain features, but also taking a look at some basic scientific aspects and exploring some new methods, such as the Vellum toolset to simulate tectonic compression. Download the resources for this tutorial. Also read: Our review of Houdini 17 Banshee. 01. Learn the basics To Read the full article…
