Kelly’s in charge of choosing IT cloud services at her company. She has signed the company up for a chatbot service, and has had the “Pro” level service (not the “Free” or “Standard”) for two years. It’s time for the annual renewal. Will she renew? Will she decide to renew, but switch to the free service only? Is there anything about the email notice and/or webpage for the service that will either encourage her or discourage her from renewing? The pricing plan that is presented to Kelly. Apex Legends: everything you need to know about the Titanfall battle royale

Instead of making Titanfall 3, developer Respawn took the franchise in a completely different direction with Apex Legends. A free-to-play battle royale game that mashes together elements of Overwatch and Fortnite, Apex Legends was a complete surprise when it launched, but it has turned out to be a big hit early on, luring tens of millions of players. Keep up with the game as it continues to develop and grow right here. Read the full article…

Apex Legends hits 10 million players in just three days

Developer Respawn believed that it was “putting a lot on the line” with the surprise launch of Apex Legends, but it looks like the decision was the right one: just three days after launch, the game has reached 10 million players. Fortnite, in comparison, took two weeks to hit the same milestone. “We knew it would be risky to take the franchise in this direction, to go free to play, and do a surprise launch,” Respawn CEO Vince Zampella wrote in a blog post. “But we fell in love with Apex Legends and wanted, needed, other people to play it, too.” In addition to the overall player count, the developer also says that Apex has already reached 1 million concurrent players. Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale game set in the Titanfall… Read the full article…

Kingdom Hearts III gets an adorable limited-edition Sony Walkman

Kingdom Hearts III is finally here after more than 20 years of waiting from an absurdly patient fanbase. To celebrate the achievement, Sony has released a limited-edition Series A Walkman. The Walkman, one of Sony’s flagship portable music players, can be seen in the tweet below. It’s not a new product by any means — the first Walkman was released in 1979 and built for cassette players. This version, the NW-A55, is Sony’s digital model of the device. It can hold up to 16GB of data internally. Although the Walkman itself isn’t brand spanking new, the Kingdom Hearts III design certainly is. It shows Sora, the game’s main protagonist best known for his spiky hair, wearing incredibly wide flood pants, and dealing with Donald Duck’s constant… Read the full article…

Apex Legends Review in Progress

Apex Legends is something of a zeitgeist stew, checking all of the boxes of recent trends all the way down to its grandiose but nondescript title. It’s one part by-the-numbers battle royale, complete with the descent from the sky, emphasis on scavenging for loot, and shrinking playable area. It’s another part hero shooter, featuring eight heroes called legends with unique ability sets built for steadfast teamwork. It comes with decked out with all the modern free-to-play, games-as-service fixings, including weapon skins, emotes, seasons stretching throughout the rest of the year and (hopefully) years to come, and even the much-maligned loot boxes. None of those borrowed ideas scream originality, but here they come together quite well thanks to a stable of personable legends, a single lavishly designed map, and a smart approach to its mandatory three-person squads. Add great gunplay, an innovative communication system, and a degree of polish that’s all Read the full article…
